The straighteners come in an attractive looking box and inside the box is a card that gives you simple and easy to follow instructions to create different styles using the styling iron such as curls, waves and volume.
The styling iron is white with a gold trim and has ceramic woven style floating plates. The styling iron feels like it has a non-slip coating, which would help to prevent accidental dropping from sweaty palms.
It comes with a removable black clip on comb which helps to separate hair when straightening. You don’t have to use the comb, but it is recommended when straightening to prevent snagging and breakage.
The straighteners feature a three metre salon style swivel cord with Velcro fastening and the cord allowed me to sit on my bed when using the styling iron without the need for an extension lead.
There is a simple on and off power button with four LED light heat settings ranging from 150 – 230 degrees celsius. The LED lights flash when the styling iron is turned on and stop flashing once the desired heat is reached.
The LED light indicator shows the degrees Celsius. One LED light is 150, two LED lights is 175, three LED lights is 205 and four lights is 230. There are instructions on which heat to use dependant on your hair type.
The styling iron takes about 60 seconds to heat up. I chose to use the 175 degrees Celsius option (two lights) as my hair type is normal to medium wavy and this is the recommended heat setting. I decided to have the styling comb attached when using the styling iron.
I sectioned some of my hair and ran the styling iron over my hair; it ran smoothly without any snagging or pulling. It mostly straightened on the first go, but I ran it over the same section of hair a second time and my hair looked very straight.
This styling iron has great features such as the ceramic floating plates, four heat settings, styling comb, and the salon style swivel cord.
Overall this styling iron is very good quality and I would definitely recommend it and have already done so to family and friends.
The only thing that I would say needs to be changed would be to include a heat mat as other straighteners at lower prices include a heat mat in the box.
I really like this styling iron and I am excited to continue using it and to try out the different styles that can be achieved, such as curls.
It has already replaced my existing straighteners as my go to everyday.
