The products were delivered by normal post requesting a signature, and luckily I was in as it would not have fit through the letterbox, even though it is quite a well designed thin box.
The packaging was bubble wrap inside a stiff envelope, so fairly robust, and the products arrived undamaged. The product box appeared well made, upmarket with the company name standing out well; overall appealing to the eye.
I will keep the items in the box for storage to keep together, avoiding getting lost in the ‘smellies’ cupboard.
Unfortunately, I only used the products a couple of times before I had a rash appear on my face and had to shave my stubble off on Doc’s orders. I do have very sensitive skin as found out using other products in the past.
Therefore, to give the products a fair trial, I asked my son to try them out. He has used them regularly over the last three weeks with no ill effects.
We both found that the sturdy comb worked through the beard easily and both our wives confirmed that the oil smelt delightful. Your face feels itchy for the first hour or so after use but the beard felt smoother than normal already.
I felt the beard balm may be a bit greasy for my skin but my son disagreed. The products work for him so feels they are good value for money against similar products on the market, and has recommended to a couple of his friends already and definitely would purchase from the London Beard Company brand in the near future.
I personally would not purchase the product again but there is no denying that it appears a high end, quality grooming package.
Perhaps they could research developing an equivalent package for people with very sensitive skin, as I would give that a whirl. Overall we both enjoyed the trial experience but my son came out more satisfied with the actual products.
