Firstly, this bottle arrived promptly and packed to perfection - no room for damage! The gift box came separately to allow for proper assembly and was folded into the box. A luxury finish, cream packaging with embossed logo and lettering, adds to the appeal as the perfect gift.
The bottle itself is aesthetically pleasing and looks good as a table centrepiece if hosting. (This was a full-size bottle, 75cl.) I chilled the champagne for 24 hours before drinking, this allowed it to reach optimum drinking temperature.
The taste was crisp and refreshing, lighter than a Prosecco but not as harsh as the traditional champagne taste which can be quite bitter. The bottle itself served five standard champagne flutes which was ample for the two of us and would be excellent for a dinner party. Buttery notes with a pop of citrus, smooth in taste and great for those who aren’t traditional champagne drinkers. I found it dry and refreshing rather than heavy and bitter.
If you prefer a dry wine, then this product is for you. Some sparkling products can be too sweet or gassy - this is not the case with Moët. It is suitably fizzy but tastes fresh and light with a lemon undertone. Price wise, it retails at different price points, but I would say it is value for money given the great taste, lovely bottle and well-presented gift box.
The colour was pale and light, not yellowy, with plenty of bubbles! Overall, my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste and were pleasantly surprised to enjoy Champagne as it is not normally our drink of choice. Therefore, we would definitely purchase again. In comparison to other champagne brands, Moet would now be my first choice due to the quality, taste and value for money.
