Testing the Nobleza 4L Automatic Pet Feeder over the last month or so has been a really interesting experience and I am very grateful for the opportunity to do this.
As a family, we are new to having a cat having got a kitten for the first-time last summer, but finding the easiest, cleanest and most hygienic way of feeding him has proven challenging. In terms of dry food, a lot of the boxes are a little awkward to pour out of and getting the box from one room and returning it afterwards (usually early in the morning or late at night) felt an avoidable burden. For this, this pet feeder has been incredibly useful and timesaving. With the use of the app or the click of a physical button, the 4-litre storage container drops food into the container. To note, we have not had to refill the storage container since we got it and would imagine that this would only have to be done once every 6 months to a year.
Issues that concerned me when reading other reviews before receiving the product were that it could easily be knocked off if not placed against a wall - well, this hasn't proven to be an issue at all. Ours has sat on top of a washing machine and hasn't moved an inch - even when the washing machine is threatening to take off! Another area was that cats apparently work out how to click the button to release more food... Apart from making me slightly worried about my cats intelligence, this hasn't proven to be a problem at all, and he has taken to the change in food bowl really well.
The only downside for me has been the app. It proved a little awkward to connect to initially, with issues connecting via Bluetooth and then the requirement of 2.4ghz Wifi. I know the 2.4ghz WiFi issue is a common one with smart devices, but we do have other smart appliances where this isn't an issue. We did amend the WiFi to get access, but many probably wouldn't see it as being worth the hassle and would return it. For us, the app has been really useful when away from home, but we actually have a cat who isn't too consistent with eating dry food. Therefore, generally we have found it easier to click the button on the device when a top up is required and we are at home.
