In 2016, Christmas TV viewings set records, however, not the records broadcasters were looking for. Although the BBC’s Call The Midwife was the most watched TV Show, only 9.2 million people tuned in. It appears that Christmas TV viewing is in fact on the decline.
With Christmas approaching we thought it was time to look back on some of our favourite Christmas TV shows over the years.
The statistics are quite staggering with charts dominated by the comedies including Only Fools and Horses. 24.35 million people view the 1996-episode Time on Our Hands. This was not the only appearance from the BBC sitcom, featuring three more times throughout the years.
